Highlights

While attending St. Andrews RC Secondary school I truly started to develop my skills and expand on my knowledge of music and musical production. I frequently help out with shows within my school and out given me involvement in the production arts such as being a sound technician for Lourdes theatre group which are involved in three shows a year with bits on the side for instance Gotta Sing Gotta Dance, Spirit of Christmas, Lourdes X-factor, a various number of shows to give me great experience and being stage manager two years running for the shows Guys and Dolls and Annie the musical. I am also the lighting operator for an upcoming Glasgow show, the collector based in an abandoned swimming pool. This has and will give me the experience of being responsible for a team to create a successful show and increased my team working abilities, decision making and thinking ‘out of the box’.
Appreciation of music carried on throughout my school years which led me on to study Higher Sound Engineering and Music Technology while studying it with Advanced Higher this present time. I am thoroughly enjoying the course. I have developed skills in various different areas such as; sound operation, computer music technology and equipment, midi sequencing, recording skills and live sound. Learning these new characteristics of sound extended my opportunity of career possibilities, and I started to become progressively involved in how sound is used.
